Professional Women Without Work, or Experiencing Layoffs:
Come join this new group for professional women who have experienced or are experiencing job losses. As difficult as a job loss is, it can be even more difficult to go through the experience alone. Issues such as questioning one's skills, competence, self-worth, finding work, surviving in a difficult economic situation, self-care, and sources of strength are among a few of the discussions. It's a different world for women who are expected, and expect of themselves, to balance work and home -- in essense to do it all. What happens when you, through no fault of your own, cannot do it all? Do you flay yourself? Does family life become difficult? Can you remain clear-headed and sleep with a clear conscience? Remember, that unemployment is not the definition of the person. It's an economic issue. It affects you. But it should NOT define you.
