Our world, the one we live in each day, can seem so "normal." Yet inside each of us is a person defying definition. Yearnings for "normalcy" can invade one's waking moments. Answers can seem elusive in spite of the best advice. Trodding the "acceptable" path is supposed to make one whole, yet it seems to do anything but that. We're on this road of our life and it seems to be taking us farther and farther away from a sense of peace about who one really is inside and out..
Perhaps we go on down the road, thinking that the path set out before us is the one we are "supposed" to take; not having the time to think about who we are, because we are too focused on the daily business of our lives.
And then one day the road we have been taking, the road we are "supposed" to be on, dead ends. We can't go any further. We have figuratively (and maybe literally) run out of road!
The end of the road means we cannot continue doing what we've been doing. It means we have to stand there, take stock of who we are and where we are in our life, and then determine what road we should be on.
If you've run out of road, perhaps it is time for a change in direction.
